Apple announces April 10 2015 grand openings for its three store-in-a-store locations in London, Paris and Tokyo dedicated exclusively for selling the Apple Watch as a high-end accessory.

Watch barricadeThe stores are located at Selfridges in London, Galeries Lafayette in Paris and Isetan Shinjuku in Tokyo.

In Selfridges Apple takes over part of the Wonder Room, a "unique destination that plays host to the world’s most desirable brands”-- meaning the Apple Watch will reside alongside the likes of Cartier, Bvlgari, TAG Heuer, Gucci, Montblanc and Longines, among others.

The Galeries Lafayette Watch store spans 4 full balconies on the 2nd floor, overlooking the main rotunda of the department store. Meanwhile, in Isetan, the Watch gets an entire room.

The above-mentioned locations will reportedly only handle Watch viewings and sales-- and as such customers in need for support will be directed to other Apple retail stores.

Actual Watch sales kick off from 24 April in the UK, France, Germany, the US, Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong and Japan in Apple Stores and select department stores and boutiques in Berlin and Los Angeles. In other words, it might not be of too much help to the Apple channel per se…
